Pacific Ocean - Pristine beaches and plenty of sun. Southern Costa Rica’s Playa Bellena (Whale) Marine Park Whales and dolphins are often seen in these waters. February & March is breeding season for the whales. Snorkeling, sea kayaking, fishing and river tours are available.
Hacienda Baru Nation Wild Life Refuge - Ecological and Canopy Tour. This once cattle ranch has been reforested with the care and understanding of what true ecology is all about.
Rainforest & Bird Watchers Paradise - Mirador de Quetzales is a nesting ground for the famed Quetzal. Located in the Talamanca Mts. This is truly a cloud forest.
Finca Pasiflora - Wade provides educational tours and an insight into diversified tropical farming. Horticulturists enjoy his abundant knowledge of tropical flora.
Indigenous Culture - The Boruca village, located in a southern remote area, finds women crafting woven items for the tourist industry. These women are finding a means to financially support their families and provide them with better education. (Despite what you read education is not all free)
Southern Costa Rica - Ecology. Deforestation to diversification & what happens in between. Experience the tropics at it’s best. Palm fields, banana plantations and more. Pre Colombian sphere’s and artifacts have been found in this area and are providing information into Costa Rica’s past.
Agriculture - Sugar cane production, pineapple, coffee, papaya, and bamboo. Visits to manufacturing plants provide unique insight into the production of things we take for granted.
Community - As part of our local community we experience as a participant fiestas, fairs, and cultural entertainment. Involvement - Each group of guests experiences things differently. You never know what awaits you.
Rural School Support - A project started by past guests that has been passed on to future visitors. We collect and distribute basic school supplies to give to children in remote areas.
Botanical Gardens and Biological Reserves. Just what you would expect of the tropics.
